Humanity has crossed the threshold of a new era! – Editorial

Flux is the law of nature. That which is created is subject of change. So change is the guiding factor. Life witnesses change. Change in each and every sphere of life. But when the human mind becomes regimented with narrow sentimentalities, be it a precious object, relationship, or traditions that one presumes to be everlasting and remains attached to, it deteriorates or does not withstand the testimony in time. The external luster and social values change according to time. We all are living today in a period of time when the old values are successively being replaced by the pseudo-values and then by the human cardinal values. The decaying social structure and values are being discarded, and new social values based on human cardinal values are being created to suit the needs of humanity today, which are the most appropriate basics to facilitate the fast pace of progress in human society. The all-around major changes and restructuring in social psychology, social actions and making of Neo- ethics are in vogue. It is a true time of transition. The defective philosophies, theories and ideologies of life are being rejected as they cannot fulfil the aspirations of people today. The suppressed, oppressed, repressed and exploited mass has awakened today and has been making their voice of change and restructuring the values of life louder day by day in the atmosphere of freedom. Humanity today needs freedom- freedom of expression and freedom of action in every walk of life. The awareness of freedom is transcending to the mass and the voice of change is becoming decisive to embrace the limit of infinity. When the target is sky-high, the approach must be in accordance with that. That is why radical changes are taking place in all walks of life.

The pervasive concept of freedom signifies the rational approach to explore one’s latent potential in individuals and collectivity. The maximum utilisation of individual and collective potentialities must have excess to the needs of the individual and collective welfare of the whole human society. With the unprecedented development in science and technology, the pace of development has become many-fold faster than ever before. But due to old, conservative, and narrow sentiments, the means of technology have been misappropriated in the destructive activities. The superficial extravaganza of making more business and amassing wealth beyond limits are both the means and products of pseudo- culture. But as rationality in man develops, the ugly faces of superficial and exploitative mechanisms are being exposed and humanity today is progressing towards peace and self contentment. People in general are becoming more health conscious and trying to avoid chemical oriented foods. They are adopting natural remedies to detox the body, and Yoga practices for physical fitness and mental peace, and finally to balance  the inner aspirations with controlled outer expressions. People are now more inclined to develop  inner attraction towards the Supreme Reality. Because all their efforts to bring peace and harmony in life centered objective affiliations has proved to be futile. Devotion towards Supreme Consciousness and dedication to the cause of humanity has become the guiding factor in individual and collective life. But it has to be made all-pervasive as a general awareness where we stand to work day and night without delay.

Humanity has already crossed the threshold of the new era. We must realise it. We must be part of it to speed up the pace of progress from the darkness of dismay to the hope of the resplendent rising dawn.
