The outbreak of war between Iran and Israel –
The United States has initiated a war between long-conflicting ideologies. On one hand, Israel is trying to defend itself from the constant threat to its existence. On the other hand, Iran wants to be the leader of the Islamic world. Both Iran and Israel have a common ideological legacy with different offshoots that have been in conflict for centuries. Once a close friend of Israel, Iran does not want Israel to exist today. At the same time, Iran wants to lead the Muslim world (Shiites).
The warring terrorist proxy organizations of Iran, which it encourages and supports, have been constantly creating trouble and making threats to Israel. We have already witnessed the attacks on Hamas, Hezbollah, etc., as potential threats to Israel during the war against these proxies by Israel a few months ago. The present war is to curb the capabilities of Iran, the patron of all proxies in the Middle East, which intends to destabilize peace and prosperity in the region.
The citizens of Iran have been fed up with the forceful imposition of orthodox Sharia laws. They have been living in subjugation since the inception of the Islamic Regime in 1979, and now they are looking for a change in regime to enjoy freedom of expression.
Israel also wanted a change in regime and was closely monitoring the pulse of Iranians and the Islamic regime. Recently, a great upsurge against the Islamic Regime in Iran started, and lakhs of people were out in the streets. Thousands of people were killed by the IRGC (Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps) in a bid to curb the protest. Meetings between the US and Iran were a total failure because the regime in Tehran is apparently ambivalent to the welfare of the Iranian people.
The US aligned with Israel and staged a gruesome missile attack on the building where all of the top leadership of Iran was killed, including Supreme Leader Khamenei. The IRGC declared an open war with Israel and the US and started attacking Israel and the US military bases and embassies in different countries of the Middle East.
Now, more than 14 countries have become tangled in this war, which is devastating to all involved, with great loss of life and property. Iran’s air force and navy have been crippled by the US and Israeli attacks.
Conclusion:
This is not just a problem of the Middle East, but of the entire world. There is a long history of external meddling in Middle Eastern affairs, which has brought us to this point. Now, the whole world has to come together on a common platform of shared mutual interests to serve the common goal of the welfare and well-being of all humans, animals, and plants in the region in the spirit of mutual coexistence. As the human psyche advances with technology, the vision and understanding of life and society are changing. The world has become a global village. But conflicting ideologies have yet to be replaced by a common ideology beneficial to all. Humanity needs such an ideology today, which must have a universal appeal with a 360-degree vision – a comprehensive and all-embracing ideology. This is the only way to end the bloodshed.
