Girls Proutist Foundation Day Celebration Programme
Celebrated Across India from 31 July to 14 August
Girls Proutist Foundation Day (4 August 1978) is observed to commemorate the establishment of the Girls Proutist Movement, which is dedicated to empowering girls and women through the ideals of PROUT (Progressive Utilization Theory), Neo-Humanism, and Anand Marga.
The objective of Girls Proutist is to empower girls and women to become morally strong, intellectually enlightened, socially responsible, and spiritually elevated leaders. Guided by the principles of PROUT and Neo-Humanism, the organization promotes education, leadership, gender equality, self-reliance, and service to humanity. It encourages women to realize their full potential, uphold ethical values, and actively contribute to social, economic, cultural, and environmental development. Through awareness programmes, research, community service, and capacity-building initiatives, Girls Proutist strives to build a just, compassionate, and exploitation-free society where every girl and woman can make a meaningful contribution to the welfare of all.
1. The celebration commenced on 31 July at Kendriya Vidyalaya, NIT Agartala, Tripura, where Dr. Vineeta Anand delivered a talk on “Balanced Development: Human, Nature, and Society” in the presence of the school’s Principal and distinguished teachers.
2. Girls Proutist Foundation Day was celebrated at a Government school in Jehanabad, Bihar, where Sharda Didi introduced the senior students to the formation, vision, and objectives of the Girls Proutist Movement.
3. Girls Proutist Day was celebrated at a Senior Secondary School in Balasore, Odisha, where Adv. Snehlata explained the role and responsibilities of a Girls Proutist to the students.
4. Avadhutika Anand Prabha Acharya delivered an inspiring talk on “Neo-Humanistic Education and PROUT” to the Principal and teachers of Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Meerut.
5. Girls Proutist Foundation Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Tripura Shankar Memorial School, Rewa. The Principal elaborated on the role of Girls Proutist, followed by a colourful cultural programme.
6. Under the theme “Positive Thinking,” the Girls Proutist youth team in Mumbai conducted a counselling session for Class IX and X students at Shishu Vikas Mandir, Kurla. Around 120 students also received stationery kits through the generous support of Mrs. Anukriti.
7. Women from Bengali Mahila Samaj, Asansol, West Bengal, participated in a reflective activity by writing about the principles of PROUT as explained by Satyawati Didi. The programme began with the sacred Dharma Chakra.
8. Adv. Punam Didi conducted an extensive and thought-provoking discussion in Patna, Bihar, with core Proutists on the role of Girls Proutist and the Samaj in Bihar.
9. Nirmala Didi led a meaningful discussion in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, on the holistic development of women within the Samaj.
10. Angika Mahila Samaja, Purnia, Bihar, organized a meeting with women members of the Samaj, highlighting the role and responsibility of women in supporting girls and elderly women within the community.
11. GP day celebration by Manjula didi with Indian women in Munich, Germany, Berlin sector. She explained the effect of Santient diet on mind, body and meditation.
Narayan Seva was also organized at several places.
12. In Delhi, Girls Proutist, through its senior member Smt. Swaranlata, has been operating a community kitchen that serves nutritious meals to the poor at ₹5 per plate. On the occasion of Foundation Day, a special meal with an elaborate menu was served.
13. Smt. Kaushlaya Singh, an 81-year-old senior Girls Proutist, organized Narayan Seva through food distribution in Mathura.
14. The Girls Proutist team in Mumbai, led by Dr. Usha Sah, distributed 200 fruit packets to patients admitted to V. N. Desai Government Hospital, Santacruz.
15. Food and Prasad were distributed at Vasant Kunj, New Delhi, under the leadership of Meera Didi.
16. Gifts and chocolates were distributed among tiny tots in New Delhi by Mridula Didi as part of the Foundation Day celebrations.
