We are well connected. The globe has turned into a village. We can turn the planet earth into heavenly habitat by redefining the paradigm of progress in proper perspective.
Because of materialistic bias in science, mind and spirit playing crucial role in making us unique in the whole of living kingdom were utterly ignored. Which blurred the difference between end and means. All species, except humans think about their existential needs. However, humans can’t live by bread alone. It’s well known fact that scientists, seers, reformers have played crucial role using their developed mental and spiritual faculty in making us so different from others. Hence it’s crystal clear that there is difference in the physical, mental and spiritual dimensions of life. Really more developed is one who is physically fit, mentally and spiritually developed.
Man is more instinctive when less mentally and spiritually developed. At times seen behaving worse than animals. Model of progress impact our value system. If we are to live like true human beings we should try to know the goal of life. Our design clearly shows that behind our myriad problems lies our inability to use our potentiality. It’s not only under utilization rather misutilization also contributing in worsening the situation.
To change the global scenario emphasis should be laid on attainment of regional self-sufficiency backed by universal spirit. Turn the globe into self sufficient economic zones to facilitate the formation of a society based on cosmic brotherhood. None is going to lose this way even on economic front. Those areas deficient in natural resources will be able to take help from surplus areas. The exchange is the option. War in the Civilized society is the worst, sterile strategy.
When better options are available why opt such. Mental and spiritual development is not antagonistic to economic development. Some time back there was cry for globalization of trade. Later it was accepted for the sustainability of global economy. The occurrence of Economic depression will be unheard of in future with emphasis on regional self-reliance.
There is general doubt about the effectiveness of spirituality in building global society. Which is possible through behavioral intervention as envisioned by PR Sarkar. In each of us there is mechanism to prepare ourselves to build bigger and progressive society. There are ways to do that.
Pressed by circumstances people have stated thinking about spirituality but deeper understanding that it is the panacea for all the afflictions of mankind is yet to dawn upon. But circumstances are compelling us to look beyond all boundaries, race, religion and religion. Which will serve dual purpose accelerate progress in life and peace. Spirituality alone can make constricted and confused mind clear and focused.
