Demonstration by BABA at M.G. Quarter, Malviya Nagar, New Delhi — 1968
This was one of the most unique and unforgettable demonstrations given by BABA during a General Darshan. All of us were eagerly waiting for Him that evening at the M.G. Quarter in Delhi.
When BABA arrived, He was in a deeply blissful mood. His eyes radiated infinite love as He gazed at each one of us. Then, quite suddenly, He called forward Mahadevan, a senior Margi from Delhi.
With great tenderness, BABA asked him to sit in front and instructed:
“Do Bhúta Shuddhi and Ásana Shuddhi. Take your mind to the Ájiṋa Cakra. Now… come out of your body.”
We were stunned. A profound silence filled the air, charged with sacredness.
BABA then continued:
“Take your mind to the South… farther… still farther. What do you see now?”
Mahadevan, his voice filled with joy, replied:
“BABA, I see a vast, roaring ocean! I feel the cool breeze. It is so beautiful!”
BABA smiled and said:
“Very nice. Now move to the North… far… farther still. Tell me what you see.”
After a short pause, Mahadevan suddenly exclaimed with excitement:
“Mountains! Huge mountains! Snow is everywhere! BABA, it is very, very cold here!”
With delight, BABA responded:
“Yes, yes! You are now in the Himalayas.”
Finally, BABA told him to return and continue his sádhaná. Mahadevan, now deeply absorbed in meditation, looked radiant and spiritually fulfilled.
Then, with boundless compassion, BABA addressed all of us:
“Look, the entire universe is within you. There is no need to go anywhere. Do not waste your time chasing after things outside. Everything you experience externally is only a shadow. The real universe is within you. And not only the universe, but the Creator and Controller of it—Paramá Puruśa—also resides within you.”
In this extraordinary demonstration, Mahadevan did not merely imagine the ocean or the Himalayas—he directly experienced their existence from within. This reveals the eternal truth expressed in the philosophy:
“Yathá Pinde, Tathá Brahmande.”
(As it is within the unit existence, so it is in the Cosmic Universe.)
Let us, therefore, joyfully realize and explore this inner universe by tuning ourselves with the Kiirtan mantra “BABA NAM KEVALAM”, and by diving deeper into our sádhaná.
Let us dedicate our lives to serving humanity with the ideation of Paramá Puruśa BABA, and transform every action into meditation through the constant remembrance of the Guru Mantra.

एम.जी. क्वार्टर, मालवीय नगर, नई दिल्ली में बाबा का प्रदर्शन — 1968
यह बाबा द्वारा सामान्य दर्शन के दौरान दिए गए सबसे अनोखे और अविस्मरणीय प्रदर्शनों में से एक था। हम सभी उस शाम दिल्ली के एम.जी. क्वार्टर में उनका बेसब्री से इंतज़ार कर रहे थे।
जब बाबा पहुँचे, तो वे अत्यंत आनंदित थे। हम सभी को निहारते हुए उनकी आँखों से असीम प्रेम झलक रहा था। फिर, अचानक, उन्होंने दिल्ली के एक वरिष्ठ मार्गी महादेवन को आगे बुलाया।
बाबा ने बड़ी कोमलता से उन्हें आगे बैठने को कहा और निर्देश दिया:
“भूत शुद्धि और आसन शुद्धि करो। अपने मन को अजिना चक्र में ले जाओ। अब… अपने शरीर से बाहर निकलो।”
हम दंग रह गए। पवित्रता से भरी एक गहन शांति वातावरण में छा गई।
बाबा ने फिर कहा:
“अपने मन को दक्षिण की ओर ले जाओ… और आगे… और भी दूर। अब तुम क्या देखते हो?”
महादेवन ने प्रसन्नता से भरकर उत्तर दिया:
“बाबा, मुझे एक विशाल, गरजता हुआ सागर दिखाई दे रहा है! मुझे ठंडी हवा का एहसास हो रहा है। यह कितना सुंदर है!”
बाबा मुस्कुराए और बोले:
“बहुत अच्छा। अब उत्तर की ओर बढ़ो… और भी दूर… और भी दूर। मुझे बताओ कि तुम्हें क्या दिखाई दे रहा है।”
थोड़ी देर रुकने के बाद, महादेवन अचानक उत्साह से चिल्ला उठे:
“पहाड़! विशाल पहाड़! हर जगह बर्फ़ है! बाबा, यहाँ बहुत, बहुत ठंड है!”
प्रसन्न होकर, बाबा ने उत्तर दिया:
“हाँ, हाँ! अब तुम हिमालय में हो।”
अंत में, बाबा ने उन्हें वापस लौटने और अपनी साधना जारी रखने के लिए कहा। महादेवन, अब ध्यान में गहराई से लीन, दीप्तिमान और आध्यात्मिक रूप से परिपूर्ण दिख रहे थे।
फिर, असीम करुणा के साथ, बाबा ने हम सभी को संबोधित किया:
“देखो, सारा ब्रह्मांड तुम्हारे भीतर है। कहीं जाने की आवश्यकता नहीं है। बाहरी चीज़ों के पीछे भागने में अपना समय बर्बाद मत करो। तुम जो कुछ भी बाहरी रूप से अनुभव करते हो, वह केवल एक छाया मात्र है। वास्तविक ब्रह्मांड तुम्हारे भीतर है। और केवल ब्रह्मांड ही नहीं, बल्कि उसका रचयिता और नियंत्रक—परम पुरुष—भी तुम्हारे भीतर निवास करता है।”
इस असाधारण प्रदर्शन में, महादेवन ने केवल समुद्र या हिमालय की कल्पना ही नहीं की—उन्होंने उनके अस्तित्व का प्रत्यक्ष अनुभव भीतर से किया। यह दर्शन में व्यक्त शाश्वत सत्य को प्रकट करता है:
“यथा पिंडे, तथा ब्रह्मांडे।”
(जैसा इकाई अस्तित्व के भीतर है, वैसा ही ब्रह्मांड में भी है।)
अतः, आइए हम कीर्तन मंत्र “बाबा नाम केवलम्” के साथ स्वयं को एकाकार करके और अपनी साधना में गहराई से उतरकर, आनंदपूर्वक इस आंतरिक ब्रह्मांड का अनुभव करें और उसका अन्वेषण करें।
आइए, हम परमपुरुष बाबा के विचार के साथ मानवता की सेवा में अपना जीवन समर्पित करें और गुरुमंत्र के निरंतर स्मरण द्वारा प्रत्येक कर्म को ध्यान में परिवर्तित करें।
