In the words of the Composer lyrist musician Sri PR SARKAR “Prabhat Samgiita is the feeling of the heart, and the expression of the heart, and it has been written with the ink of the heart,”

Prabhat samgiita is a collection of 5018 songs composed and tuned by seer, philosopher Sri Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar during the short span of 8 years from 14th September 1982 to 20th October 1990.

“Songs are rooted in the physical world, but their impact is on the subtler layers of the human mind. The mental world is the ectoplasmic world, composed of ectoplasmic stuff (cittanu). Songs produce a vibrational wave which makes our mental waves straight, and these straightened mental waves in turn ultimately touch the point of the soul. Just as with the magic touch of crimson dawn the veil of the deep darkness of night is removed and the living world awakens to a new life with new light and hope, so does Prabhat samgiita in the back drop of the gloom and despondence of the present day cultural world, herald   the dawn of new glorious era with a new awakening effulgence with the crimson glow of new light and hope for ailing humanity. It is revolution in the world of music. Samgiita is the combination of song dance and instrumental music.

There is a beautiful description of flora and the fauna in many Prabhat Sangiita songs (Song number 3476)

In Prabhat sangiita many ragas which had become extinct have been revived like Rag Sindu Bhaeravii (one tune of song number 4733) and few new ragas and raginiis have been created which are not named by him.
